DESCRIPTION:Séance 27 « Regulations for reducing psychosocial risk factors at work; how to spice them up with social pressure »\nMaureen Dollard (University of Adelaide\, South Australia) et May Young Loh (University of Adelaide\, South Australia) présenteront une communication intitulée Regulations for reducing psychosocial risk factors at work; how to spice them up with social pressure. Cette présentation portera sur les nouvelles réglementations australiennes visant à prévenir les risques psychosociaux au travail et sur les difficultés liées à leur mise en œuvre. Elle explorera notamment le rôle de la transparence\, de la comparaison entre organisations et de la pression sociale comme leviers pour encourager les employeurs à améliorer la santé et la sécurité psychosociales au travail. \nUne intervention croisée sera assurée par Jean-Paul Dautel (Université du Québec) et Mélanie Dufour Poirier (Université de Montréal). \nAbstract\nby Maureen Dollard & May Loh (Australia) \nAustralia recently introduced world-leading regulations for the prevention and management of psychosocial risks at work. While these reforms represent a significant advancement in work health and safety legislation\, they have also exposed substantial capability and motivational gaps among employers in implementing the new requirements. \nOur research evaluates the impact of these regulations across Australian jurisdictions. Despite the strength of the regulatory framework\, evidence suggests that implementation remains inconsistent. For example\, research within the Australian university sector found that 73% of over 11\,000 respondents reported that psychosocial risks were not actively monitored within their organisation. To strengthen accountability and motivate organisational improvement\, a national psychosocial safety climate census (PSC) was launched\, accompanied by the public ranking of universities based on their PSC performance. This initiative aimed to increase transparency\, benchmark organisational performance\, and encourage employers to take meaningful action to improve psychosocial health and safety. Reactions to this initiative as a social mechanism to nudge compliance will be discussed. \nCo-Authors.
